This is a test panel for a webcomic I'd like to do. The comic would include the following:

- robots
- monsters
- ridiculously oversized weapons
- ninja
- samurai
- energy beams of some kind
- hovercycles
- some kind of futuristic order of badass monks
- a structured mathematical system by which power can be measured
- a heroic kid
- power suits

..and more badassery that I can't come up with right now.

None of that is a joke. I'm including everything I thought was cool when I was 13, most of which are guilty pleasures that I still enjoy today. I'll do my best to make a cohesive story out of it.

I would have included floating islands, but James Cameron has made me nauseous at the thought.

Agreed on everything- including the floating islands part. Maybe instead of floating islands, have like some sort of floating city held up by multiple giant anti-gravity tractor beams. They would be like a second layer of the city where all the rich people live while everyone without a lot of money would live in the shady (literally) undercity where mass amounts of crime flourish.. Human cops are obsolete, so of course they have been replaced by robots. The people who make the laws would be your badass monks, who would be oblivious to the reality of the state of the undercity. Also, guns have been banned for hundreds of years now, so people use bladed weapons while some criminal organizations (and the robot police) have access to either energy beam guns or repurposed mining equipment almost a century old(since my crazy dystopian planet ran out of usable mineral resources around then). Meanwhile someone discovered the last usable rock resource and an enemy clan tries to steal it.. Government finds out, sends soldiers.. Criminals find out, send more soldiers.. Big four way war between three legions of humans (all of whom have powersuits of varying design and abilities) and robots with lasers.. Heroic kid comes from clan who originally found minerals who is now being slowly wiped out by everyone else..
